All Star was written for the album Astro Lounge. It was a surprise hit that became very well known in popular culture. Its presence in Guitar Hero is controversial, because this song is classified as a pop song rather than rock. It was most likely included in the game to target a younger audience.

Appears In

Guitar Hero: On Tour (Tier 2) A Master Track is the original recording of a song by an artist. All songs on CD, record, cassette, or any other form of media are based on this recording.

This is necessary for the Guitar Hero series because on a master track all instruments are separate tracks, which is required so the guitar sounds can be separate from the rest of the music.

In Guitar Hero II, a master track is shown by Performed by such as Stop as Performed by Jane's Addiction. In Guitar Hero III, a master track is indicated as "by".

Walkthrough

The notes in this song are very sparse, save for a few somewhat fast strumming parts near the beginning, middle, and end of the song. Unlike most On Tour songs, this one isn't mostly chords, which lessens the difficulty significantly. In addition, to that, an FC is easy to get on all difficulties.
